You must have been in Skelmorlie when I lived there, between 1942 and 1951. Did you attend the Skelmorlie Public School?

Hello Willie Wilson, aye i went skelmorlie school i started my school days in the annex (the hall on the right going up the lane to the boys entrance. The head then was a Mr Kennedy who retired soon after i went there (not because of me ) lol, he was replaced by Willie Alexander who you probably remember and he was still there when i left and went to Largs secondary.

This is a photo of the submarine Thetis running trials on the measured mile at Skelmorlie 27th April 1939. She sank in liverpool bay 1st June 1939 99 lives lost.
