what is our esteemed Community Council doing with regards to the 21 turbines proposed for Skelmorlie or is ait another big secret that they are keeping to themselves?

Bill Mutter says

"I feel you are being very unfair Gerry". Some of our community councillors ARE concerned but unfortunately it is an unwritten law that should they dissagree with the 'chair' they will be asked to resign. I suppose in the case of the turbines; as long as they cant be seen from Innes Park Road they are quite aceptable. There again, with the fee for having one on ones property being substantial, perhaps one might appear in Innes Park Road after all!

Archie Nicol says

This sounds like a personal vendetta, Bill.

Got a problem with IPR?

Robert Cathcart says

He has a very big problem with Innes Park Road by the sound of it Archie. Gerry, the Community Council are now in correspondence with the Scottish Office on this matter. All associated Community Councils have registered thier objections to this project. Bill, I suggest your best option now is to go missing.

gerry langan says

Thanks Robert for telling me whats going on pity the C.C. could not publish any details of an issue that is important to the village that is why i keep on going on about it being a secret society if you cannot get to the meetings

Robert Cathcart says

The Community Council had literally just received their first letter of response from the Scottish Office when I wrote that Gerry.

Bill Mutter says

Robert - Archie; I have no problem with I.P.R. my gripe is much the same as Gerry's inasmuch as we get no feedback from our C.C. on virtually every item that crops up.There is a ruling that minutes of meetings have to be posted for public inspection within a certain timescale and this is not happening leaving most of us in the dark as to what is going on. When we do get info it is generally a project in the I.P.R. area such as play areas, affordable housing etc. No offence....honest!  but the village does extend beyond the Cross.

gerry langan says

Robert, the issue regarding the windfarm has been ongoing for many months, i have been  contacted by the windfarm group and have objected through them and personal objections. An issue such as this which would spoil the area and is important should be highlighted and action taken as soon as any notification is given. The Scottish Office are irrelevant until avenues with developers and council have been exhausted. I just think that the C.C. could have acted sooner but have dragged their heels and it is too late now for any opposition
