Fire (again) at the Beach House
So the huge pile of wood left over from the demolition of the burned-out Beach House caught on fire on this afternoon -- a lovely, warm, summer afternoon when windows are open and there's just enough gentle breeze to blow the smoke around and into peoples' houses.
I feel sorry for the people in the flats next door and in the old churchhouse; the smoke & odor was bad enough up the hill.
Thankfully the fire services arrived to put it out.
I hope the contractors aren't planning on burning that wood to dispose of it. I spoke with the NAC Environmental Health department and SEPA regarding this. They advised they will be investigating it.
