General Skelmorlie Notes
Skelmorlie and District Highland Association are holding their annual Quiz Night in the Community Centre on Friday 26th February at 7.30pm. This always proves to be a fun night and the tickets priced £5 also includes the full Highlanders supper. This year's proceeds will go to the Haiti Earthquake Appeal so why not come along on the night, enjoy some good food, some good fun and of course a little competition to get those old grey cells going. Tickets are available from all Committee Members or by phoning Iona on 520390.
Skelmorlie Bowling Club
Members are reminded that the Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held on Sunday the 28th February at 2.30pm in the Clubhouse. A good turn out of members would be much appreciated.
Senior Citizens Calendar
The Senior Citizens Calendar (old TOC H) is still available in the Spar Shop Skelmorlie, Medical hall and The Chemist at Wemyss Bay, for anyone who has not received one. As usual these are very useful with the telephone numbers of many local services and businesses. Well worth the £1 charged for them.
Unattended Dog
A local lady recently returned from work to find a large black dog in her garden attacking her rabbits. Of the two rabbits one was killed and the other severely traumatised. This incident happened in the vicinity of the park at 2.30pm on Monday of last week and the lady is concerned that it could have been a child who was attacked. If you know who the owner of this dog is could you please advise them to keep the dog on a lead to avoid a further incident which has left two children heartbroken at the loss of their pet.
