We live in Skelmorlie and no longer have use of our garden because of a dangerous tree line.
Our neighbour refuses to deal with this problem and local council no help at all.
Any one any advice.

I thought it was the case that anyones overhanging hedge could be cut back but the clippings remained the property of the "owner" (ie on who's ground it is planted) so clip it and return the offending items. This should only be a last resort as a wee wrod may allevaite a growing problem! Fruit trees may be different!
A lot will depend on the type of trees as most of the village is covered by a tree preservation order. Mrs Boyle, Chairperson of Skelmorlie Community Council may be able to give you more information about this.
