Skelmorlie > A Gateway to Ayrshire

Skelmorlie is one of twelve Gateways to Ayrshire. Each of these towns and villages has history/heritage which makes it
more than just a Gateway to Ayrshire.
Each has its story to tell and should try as hard as it can to bring some of its story to the attention of locals and visitors.
It is surprising to find how many locals do not know about their own home town, this needs to change, pride in your; home, your town, your shire, your country and yourself are crucial.

Marking all of the obvious Gateways to Ayrshire on a map, they create a pointer > . This sign signifies -"greater or more than". What better sign to place in front of -
"Gateway to Ayrshire"?
