Visit Skelmorlie Library for National Libraries Day
Skelmorlie Library is running a prize draw for every child or adult borrowing a book as part of the council’s awareness of National Libraries Day.
The competition runs until the day of the national event, on Saturday, February 4.
North Ayrshire’s libraries are packed full of books, CDs, DVDs, free internet access, IT classes, workshops, children’s events, author visits, book groups and much, much more.
There are also plenty of other benefits to being a library member:
- You can access the service online 24/7 to request items, research Encyclopedia Britannica and Credo, read local, regional and national newspapers with UK Newsstand; and look at old and new photos of North Ayrshire on the Flickr photo stream.
- Visit North Ayrshire’s Heritage Centre in Saltcoats to find out more about the area’s past or do some family history research.
- You can sign up to the council texting service to find out more about events all year round.
- Access the ebooks and downloadable audio books that are coming soon.
